Gentle Vinyasa / Flow Yoga
In these classes, students are guided through a sequence of asanas (poses) which are linked together to create a gently flowing movement.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a gentle yet profound form of yoga that focuses on deep stretching and relaxation. Unlike more dynamic yoga styles, yin yoga involves holding poses for extended periods, often from 3 to 5 minutes or even longer. During these extended holds, practitioners target the body's connective tissues, such as ligaments and fascia, allowing for increased flexibility and joint mobility. Yin yoga also promotes relaxation and mindfulness, as it encourages students to embrace stillness and observe their sensations, thoughts, and emotions. It is a wonderful practice for relieving tension, enhancing flexibility, and fostering a sense of inner calm, making it a valuable complement to more active yoga styles and a great way to unwind and rejuvenate both body and mind.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing style of yoga. Instead of working on active poses, in this practice supports and props are used to allow the body to be held in restorative postures. There are many health benefits to this style of yoga, one of the which is to allow for 'letting go', and deep relaxation.
